Van der Valk Hotel Gorinchem

“I am always happy to stay at vdV Gorinchem. As I travel frequently and stay in many different hotels, I can confidently say that vdV Gorinchem stands out in a very positive way. The highlights are the excellent kitchen and the professional, friendly staff, who consistently make the stay enjoyable. There are just a couple of points that could be improved: Gym access: The gym is only accessible from 06:00. As there are no guest rooms below the gym and no supervision required, this restriction is a bit hard to understand. It would be great if access could start from 05:00, especially for early risers. Elevator noise: The elevator is very fast, which is appreciated, but unfortunately it is also quite loud, particularly for rooms located nearby. Dinner: While the food is really nice and well prepared, the dinner options tend to be quite carbohydrate-heavy. When ordering extra vegetables, it also seems that the same selection is served each day. A bit more variation in vegetables and slightly lighter options would be a very welcome addition. Overall, these are small remarks, and they do not take away from what is otherwise a very pleasant and high-quality stay.”

“I meant to book the same hotel in Tiel, but somehow booked this one. Both hotels are very nice. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, there is a bar/restaurant, as well as a restaurant in the hotel, so very comfortable. They have not charged more for parking a car, so that's nice. All in all these are good hotels.”
